Even before you arrive, you can choose, through the site, the house/room where you will stay during your Erasmus programme. You just have to look through the offers we have available and reserve the one you prefer.

Once you have made your choice, you can then make the reservation through our site by selecting the button “book now”.

We strongly advise you, before you make any decision, to have a look at the contract which includes:

House utilisation rules;

Conditions of payment.

By making a reservation you are automatically accepting the conditions set out in the documents.

Once you have made the reservation, you will receive an email asking you for the following:

Information on the date and time of you arrival and flight number (optional);

Photocopy of your identification and student card;

The transfer of an amount as specified in the terms of payment, concerning a security and first payment.

The reservation will remain on hold until the money had been transferred. If the money is not received within 3 working days your reservation will be considered null and void.

In case you decide to cancel after the reservation is made:

With more than 30 days’ prior notice you will be completely refunded;

Between 30 and 15 days’ prior notice, 50% of your deposit will be refunded;

With less than 15 days’ prior notice there will be no refund.

If, as a result of force majeure, the house you have reserved is not available, StayinPortugal will find you another house or, as an alternative, will refund the total amount of money paid for your reservation.

In case you have given us the optional information requested in the above-mentioned email, our team will be at the airport upon your arrival and will take you to your new home.

While you are here, StayinPortugal will always be available to help you solve any problem.

On the week of departure, our organisation will check your house to verify that is in the same condition as when you arrived, in order to return the deposit you were required to pay upon reservation.

Courses in Portuguese Language

To help you overcome communication difficulties, which you will be faced with when you arrive, StayinPortugal organizes courses in Portuguese language with the best market price.

You can choose one course:

Intensive – with a 20 hour duration just before the beginning of the semester;

Regular – with a 60 hour duration, taught throughout the semester.

Timetable will be suited to your own available time.

Courses will be taught at Rua Filipe Folque, right in the centre of Lisbon.

Travelling & Partying

StayinPortugal has the aim of making every moment in Portugal unforgettable, solving the initial accommodation problems but also encouraging fun and companionship.

For this task and to show a little bit more of our country we organize some trips with accessible prices to show you how beautiful Portugal is.

We offer you the opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful places in our country and show you how Portugal is a happy funny and interesting country.

StayinPortugal is patriotic enterprise but never closed to foreign experiences, so we also organize some trips to our Neighboring countries like Spain and Morocco, where you can learn more about other cultures and customs.

We will also organize parties and dinners with propose of promoting companionship, and know other Erasmus Students.

You will receive more information about this travels and dinners on our newsletter (days, values, itinerary,…), and you will can confirm your inscription on website or by e-mail.

“Stay In” kit

The “Stay In” kit made available by StayinPortugal comprises a set of very useful items and services that will help make your integration speedier and your stay lot easier.

The kit includes:

SIM card

Mobile phone – against a security that will be returned to you at the end of your Erasmus programme, when you return the mobile phone;

Pre-opened bank account.

Stay In Card , which is also:

Your ID card from the Stay In family, which will give you discounts at parties, trips and Portuguese language courses organised by us;

Debit card for a pre-opened account;

It is also valid as a client card at PORTVGÁLIA, a Portuguese chain of restaurants and pubs.

A map of Lisbon, with bus and underground routes;

Documents and their respective translation to apply for a bus and/or underground pass.

You can have access to this kit through our reservation site, by email, at our head office at any time during your stay, or you can have it while still in your country of origin. Those Erasmus students who have reserved a house/room through our site are automatically entitled to the kit.
